Are you looking for a local professional artist? Glyn Davies has always had a career in architecture, working in my own practice in Bath since the 1980's. However, painting has always been a huge part of my life and my subject matter is mainly townscapes, naturally influenced by my interest in architecture. I have lived in Bath for 40 years and I find the buildings there have always been a constant inspiration to me. I particularly like painting architectural elevations of the back of Georgian buildings, and streets of artisan shops. As Bath is surrounded by hills it gives superb views of an urban landscape full of complexity and intriguing rhythms, with its jumble of roofs and chimneys proving now to be another favourite subject for my paintings. I regularly exhibit my paintings at various shows, having been encouraged by the interest shown in my work. I still run my own architectural consultancy in Bath but I don't think I will ever tire of painting my local landscape.
